Brittany Ward

Brittany, the director and owner of Morada Dance Movement, has always had a deep love for music and dance, with a special connection to Caribbean and Latin rhythms from a young age. She officially began her dance journey in Edmonton's Latin scene in 2013 and has been passionate about it ever since. Brittany has competed and performed across North America and continues to seek out training and classes whenever possible. In 2018, she began choreographing and directing performance teams, and in 2021, she started teaching Kizomba with her partner Mo. Opening her own dance studio is a dream come true, and she is thrilled to share her passion with the city of Edmonton!

Brittany will always continue to share the stage with as many dancers as possible so you will be sure to find her on a team or two this year!

Caylie

Caylie is a passionate dancer with over two decades of experience in Ukrainian dance. She has had the opportunity to perform across Canada and in various international destinations, including Brazil, Thailand, and Ukraine.

Ten years ago, Caylie discovered her love for Latin dance, which opened a new chapter in her dance career. Eager to embrace this vibrant style, she joined several Latin dance schools in Edmonton, where she immersed herself in learning from the city's talented instructors and performers. Her versatility as a dancer quickly expanded, and she began exploring both salsa and bachata. Over the years, Caylie has performed and competed with Morada’s esteemed teams, previously known as the Ladies Bachata Project and Salsa Project, where she continued to refine her technique and performance skills.

In addition to her involvement in local dance communities, Caylie is also an avid traveler. She frequently visits new cities to participate in Latin Dance Congresses, where she has the chance to learn from world-renowned international instructors. Whether performing on stage or engaging in spontaneous social dancing, Caylie’s enthusiasm for dance knows no bounds, and she is always seeking ways to grow and share her love for dance with others.
